A: There are four convenient ways to contact CPA-TV. Click HERE to access the
"contact" section of this website, call (434) 995-5905 and speak with CPA-TV
General Manager Cal Tate, send a letter to CPA-TV, 1000 East Rio Road,
Charlottesville, VA 22901 or stop by our facilities in person at 1000 East Rio Road
10 AM - 4 PM Monday through Friday. However, please call us at the office before
visiting in person to make sure someone is available to assist you.
Q: How do I make a television program for broadcast on Charlottesville
Public Access Television?
A: Start by deciding whether you will be producing your program on your own or in the
CPA-TV Studio Facilities. If you will be producing the program outside of CPA-TV,
you will simply need to contact the CPA-TV General Manager, Cal Tate, at
(434) 995-5905 and arrange for an introduction to the station. Broadcast policies
and procedures as well as technical standards will be discussed. In addition, CPA-TV
Membership will be discussed. Please read the question about Membership below
for more information. If you wish to produce your program in the CPA-TV Studio,
you will need to contact the CPA-TV General Manager and voice your interest in
making a show.
Q: What is the CPA-TV Membership and how do I get one?
A: Launched with the station itself in 1993 and re-launched in 2006, CPA-TV Membership
is a way of supporting CPA-TV, a non-profit community organization, by providing
regular maintenance for our studio and broadcast facilities, stock, training, this
website and other communication tools not currently provided for in the budget. It
also covers your use of the equipment for which you may be certified, as well as

A: Exclusively on Comcast Cable, the CPA-TV coverage area includes the City of
Charlottesville, Albemarle County (including Scottsville & Crozet), Greene County
